  2. InDesign is the leading design software in the printing industry. Knowing how to operate this is an necessity, but knowing it inside and out will give you an advantage over the completion. Features such as master pages are used constantly because they save time and money.
In InDesign you can create multipage documents that have flowing text boxes, master pages, guides, and much more. You can also use the paragraph and text tools that allowing you to adjust the text spacing either individually through kerning or all over known as tracking. In addition, you can adjust spacing and use many other effects to get your work looking just the way you want it to.

  4. Indesign is used for the creation of multipage documents and is also used for complex layouts and designs.

Mostly I would use indesign for wasted hardrive space but other strong points are Kerning, advanced character placement, master pages, printing support.

  6. If you are working toward a career as a print or web designer, knowledge of InDesign is a must. This is because you might come across a client that needs a book or a pamphlet.

Some main things you can do in InDesign is use a Master page. A master is like a background that you can quickly apply to many pages. Objects on a master appear on all pages with that master applied. You can also easily maintain the jump lines of stories that continue to other pages, such as a line that says “Continued on page 42.” Use a jump line page number to automatically update the number of the page containing a story’s next or previous threaded text frame when you move or reflow the story’s threaded text frames.
